Pigments of Life: From Photosynthesis to Cancer Therapy- The course will introduce the principles of light-matter interactions, role of pigments in biological processes fundamental for life (such as respiration and photosynthesis), and will demonstrate how photosynthesis inspires numerous applications of natural and synthetic pigments in areas such diverse as solar energy conversion, cancer treatment, and medicinal diagnosis.
LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch. All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.
