Coding with Emotions: The Science of Empathic AI: In this exciting and interactive course, students will explore how Artificial Intelligence can recognize, understand, and respond to human emotions. From detecting smiles in photos to building chatbots that respond kindly, learners will dive into the world of empathetic technology — where coding meets human connection.
Through guided activities, coding labs, and mini design challenges, students will learn the science behind emotion recognition, experiment with image and text-based AI tools, and discuss the real-world impact of AI on empathy, communication, and creativity. By the end of the week, students will design and present their own Emotion-Aware AI Project — showing how technology can be both smart and kind.
LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch. All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.
