CYBERSAFE   

CyberSafe: This introductory interactive course is designed to introduce middle school students to the fundamentals of cybersecurity in a fun and engaging way. Students will learn how to protect themselves, their devices, and personal information through hands-on activities, games, and real-world examples. The course emphasizes awareness, safe online habits, and the ethical use of technology.

By the end of this course, students will:

  • Understand basic cybersecurity concepts and the importance of online safety.
  • Identify common online threats such as phishing, malware, and social engineering.
  • Create strong passwords and apply safe practices to protect personal accounts.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to suspicious emails, messages, and links.
  • Maintain secure devices by understanding updates, antivirus protection, and safe downloads.
  • Demonstrate responsible digital citizenship, including ethical behavior and awareness of cyberbullying.
  • Apply learned skills to make informed decisions about personal privacy and online interactions.

 

LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch.  All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.  

Digital Credentials are linked directly to a students emails and cannot be assigned to a parents email.  For your student to receive their digital credential please add your student’s email at registration.

    CyberSafe is an interactive 15-hour course that introduces middle school students to the world of cybersecurity in a fun and engaging manner. Through this course, which is compiled with real-life examples, group activities, and online safety games, students will be able to learn how to protect their personal information, devices, and digital identity. The course will cover basic yet important topics such as password safety, phishing, malware, digital citizenship, and ethical online behavior.
