Foundations of Strategic Planning: Strategic planning helps organizations set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, and establish agreement for intended outcomes. Engaging communities is imperative to successful outcomes, trust building, and equity.

This Course is eligible for 1-credit of elective credit in the Master of Professional Studies in Community Leadership upon approval of the Graduate Program Director. To transfer credit upon completion of course contact GPD Sally Scott at sjscott@umbc.edu.

This course is not limited to UMBC students and is open to the general public.

Branding and Messaging in the Social Sector: Participants will uncover their organization’s personality and where it stands in the current landscape, explore their audience’s needs and values, and identify concrete steps toward a more effective brand.
